Reader’s Review: The Cartel’s Daughter

April 2, 2011 by Don Medina

I read a lot of fucking books. . .I mean a lot. . . so when Ms. Stringer brought this book to me. . .at first I was like. . “here we go again. . .another over exaggerated black mafioso story”. You know what I’m talking about, an unrealistic character in an unrealistic back drop doing some over the top shit like a fucking Rick Ross music video. I am here to testify that no only is this book not bullshit, it is a block buster classic. I was happily surprised and deeply engulfed in this story of a dude who is like a hit man for the Haitian drug lords. When dude is not killing muthafuckas, he spends his leisure time selling drugs in the hood . . I know, that shit sounds crazy right?

D. D. Carmine is a different author. Not the typical story teller and I can see why Ms. Stringer choose him. Carmine presents a look into the notorious drug wars that are going on even as I type this review between the Haitians and the Columbian cartel. Of course you can’t have drugs, murder, killing, voodoo, guns, knives and lots of money without love, loyalty, jealousy, betrayal and fine ass woman! Carmine understands this and hits you with an unseen twist in the story that ends up tying the whole story together.

Triple Crown raises the bar with this novel and I salute them for being innovative and being the biggest boss to this urban book thang.

Have you read this novel? What did you think? Comments are available below.

I thank my fans for all the comments on The Cartel’s Daughter, I really want to entertain you with reality and not buffoonery. I try to take my readers behind the scenes into the very game that built this country. My story and characters will always be real and uncut, I thank you all for the support and be on the lookout for part II. This story goes deeper into the rabbit, so stay tuned!
